There is a strategy at the drugstores to use their money to make money with very little of your money out of pocket!
Here is what I mean. I went to CVS and started with $8 ECBs I bought some items and spent $.45 and received $12 in ECBs.
First, I go to CVS quite a bit... It really is on the way to pick up kids or kill time between pick ups etc. So it is really not an out of the way trip. I have been keeping my eye on clearance Pantene products and the hair color for a couple of weeks now. (Many bloggers have been posting to keep me eye out). With my coupons already clipped and in my purse I have been keeping my eyes out for a sale or a great deal!
So here is how it works
Bought 6 Pantene Shampoos Clearance $1.49
1 Estroven (money maker pay 9.99 and get 9.99 back)
3 TeddyGrams togo $1 each
1 Clairol Hair color clearance $2.24
Had to but a lolly pop to take my before tax total to $0
Coupons used
3 $3/2 Pantene Products (Jan P&G)
1 $3 Any Estroven IP (internet printable)
1 $3.00/3 Nabisco - Honey Maid, Newtons Fruit Thins, Ritz Crackerfuls, Teddy Grahams, Wheat Thins, SnackWells
1 $2 Clarol... snail mail coupon
$8 in ECBs already earned
Why buy the estroven ... spent 6.99 and got back 9.99! that is why! And Bonus... I had no idea that a $2 ECB would print out because I bought the Clairol... Cost of Clairol $.24 after coupon and then a $2 ECB comes out... $1.76 money maker SWEET!
Tips for check out
Tips for Checkout:
I hand the cashier my extra care card (don't forget your green bag tag)
Then I hand, $OFF purchase coupon if you have it, then manufacturer coupons, then CVS store coupons then your ECBs!
